Ingredients for walnut cake:

  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup of flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of chopped walnut
  • size of the cup is 200 ml
  • grated rind of one lemon

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 350 F and place a baking sheet whose bottom is covered with baking paper. Meanwhile, put the butter, egg, and 1 1/2 sugar in a bowl and start stirring. Add baking soda over baking powder, flour, cinnamon, and milk. Mix and add walnuts and lemon slices. Blend well and put in a baking tray to bake for 45 minutes. In the meantime, put the water and the rest of the sugar on the pan and cook for 15 minutes, after which you will pour it over the dough in the oven. Leave the cake to bake for another 5 minutes and then take it out to cool.
